This Privacy Policy aims to clearly and transparently explain how we handle your personal data. We emphasize that we only collect necessary identity data and manually entered emergency contact information. We do not collect any device data or request device permissions. Our commitment is to data minimization, transparency, and user control as required by the Google Play Store policies.
1.3. Scope
This policy applies to all data collected through the DoveCash App (available on Google Play Store), the website (https://www.dovecash.co), and related services. It does not cover information collected offline.
1.4. User Consent
By using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may still access non-core functions (e.g., browsing informational pages), but you will not be able to access identity-authenticated core services (e.g., applying for a loan). SMS: We access only SMS messages that are financial in nature—such as bank transaction alerts and mobile money receipts—for the sole purpose of assessing your creditworthiness. We do not collect or access personal or non-financial messages. All SMS data is filtered, encrypted, and securely transmitted to our server at https://ug.dovecash.cc.
Contacts: This is used only to allow you to select a guarantor or relative. The selected contact's information (name and phone number) is encrypted and transmitted to our secure server at https://ug.dovecash.cc. We do not access, download, or store your entire contact list.
Location: We collect your approximate location information during app use to verify that it matches the data provided and to prevent fraud. This data is securely transmitted to our servers at https://ug.dovecash.cc. Data collection is disabled when the app is running in the background.
Installed Apps: We collect metadata only about installed financial-related applications (e.g., mobile banking, loan apps) to help evaluate your credit risk. We do not collect data on non-financial apps. All data is transmitted securely via HTTPS to our servers at https://ug.dovecash.cc. You may revoke this permission at any time via your device settings.
